Port Hedland International Airport has a new look website and logo to reflect its vision to become a gateway to the Northwest and beyond.

Mayor Kelly Howlett said she was proud to launch the new website – www.porthedlandairport.com.au – as a one-stop-shop for community, business and resource industry members looking to fly to and from Port Hedland.

“The new Port Hedland International Airport website provides as a wealth of information for passengers in a really easy to navigate layout,” Mayor Howlett said.

“Passengers can find out flight arrival and departure times and check in on their real-time status.

“There is also information on car parking at the airport, how to hire a car and which airlines operate from Port Hedland International Airport.

“For those new to town or just passing through, there are details on where to stay, where to eat and what to do in Hedland.

“The website also includes information on our airport redevelopment program, including our master plan and key projects being progressed to create a welcoming modern gateway to our region.

Mayor Kelly Howlett said that, as part of the website launch, she was also pleased to unveil a new logo for the airport.

“This is a new identity for the Port Hedland International Airport and it was created to reflect the stunning colours of the Pilbara region, as well as echo the Town of Port Hedland’s existing visual identity.

“While the logo is distinct and creates an easily recognisable identity for the airport, it is important there is an association with the Town of Port Hedland as owner and operator of the airport.

“The colour palette of blue, green and orange was chosen to work alongside our existing Town of Port Hedland branding devices.

“The logo also connects with the Pilbara’s unique and stunning landscape – the strong colour palette reflects our amazing red landscape, growing cityscape, vibrant ocean and bright blue skies.

“As it is an airport logo, there is obviously a strong aviation component with a plane taking off across a bright blue sky – showcasing our growing number of flights to regional and metropolitan centres across Australia and abroad.”

The Port Hedland International Airport is embarking on a major redevelopment, with a total of $70.5 million allocated by the Town of Port Hedland Council over the next five years.
